hi,
if you take the fw-backup's IP-address of the object: if you traceroute to
this IP - does your traffic directly gos to the backup-FW or does it go
through the active-FW?
in case the traffic goes through the active fw please set a route to access
this IP direct through the internal IP of the backup-FW.
you can test if this is the problem if you turn off your active fw and
failover to the backup. if you see your backup-box as "ok" then go ahead
with the routing ...
if this does not help - please check if fw1 has any error using the "cpstat
fw" command on your backup-fw1.

Why is this this ? . I can log on using Policy Editor and can see
