Where in AI would you do that? I see no way to do it. You can block Gnutella-based programs, but I'm not aware of IM-blocking... Unfortunately, blocking the networks is not an effective means of dealing with this issue. It can temporarily, and in some cases permanently shut off one particular messaging service. I equate this to trying to use your own list to block adult websites. SmartDefense addresses this issue by intelligently inspecting data transactions, and recognizing the messaging protocol itself. As new services come out, you have the ability to filter and identify them using regular expressions. Otherwise you must block the Messenger server networks (addresses have been posted here previously).
