This is one issue AI specifically adresses. Unfortunately, blocking the networks is not an effective means of dealing with this issue. It can temporarily, and in some cases permanently shut off one particular messaging service. I equate this to trying to use your own list to block adult websites. SmartDefense addresses this issue by intelligently inspecting data transactions, and recognizing the messaging protocol itself. As new services come out, you have the ability to filter and identify them using regular expressions.

If you're using AI I guess you could do it from SmartDefense. Otherwise you must block the Messenger server networks (addresses have been posted here previously).
