If the
Firewall (NT Server) is performing routing couldn't you just add the IP
address with a higher Metric and let the Firewall perform the
failover?

Subject: [FW-1] Multiple Internet
Connections
I am currently
running a NT FW-1 4.1 SP3 firewall.
We are
in the process of obtaining a secondary internet pop for redundancy from a
separate vendor @ one of my remote locations.
Is there a way that
I could pre-setup the firewall for this second internet pop, so when our
primary goes down, a quick change on the firewall and we would be back
up.
The license of the
firewall is tied to the internal ip address not the
external.
So all I am thinking
is another object that represents the firewall with all interfaces with the
exception of the primary interface configured, and well as redundant objects
for any nat related systems that represent the new ip
scheme?
Is this possible? IF
so are there any other things that I may need to do other than the ones stated
above?
TIA
