Well, you
can also start with the simple stuff. Make sure StoneBeat is starting properly
and is configuring your interfaces appropriately.
I had a
similar issue once and turned out that I forgot to enable the StoneBeat startup
script (which I disabled for some testing purposes)
and it
wasn’t bringing up the interfaces. In any case, what the box is telling you is
your interfaces are not plumbed correctly or just not
plumbed.
You can also check your device drivers and check for compatibility.

I´ve been struggling with similar problems
a couple of days ago and found no help at all.

It's not a full solution but maybe will
give you some clue.
"fw ctl iflist" to check the
interfaces fw-1 recognizes. In solaris it's supposed to fetch those interface
from /etc/fwboot/ifdev but I found out it's also dependent on something else
(who knows what).

Hi all!,
I upgraded a cluster (using StoneBeat Fullcluster ) from SP3 to
SP4 of
Firewall-1.. and get "Has only loopback (lo) interface,
aborting ... " every
time I wanted to install the policy. I tried every recommendation
on
phoneboy web page to this issue but ... I had not luck!.
Does anyone have seen this before?.. Any
idea?! I did a recovery of the
cluster and everything is ok now.. But .. I must get done the
upgrade ASP...
