RE: [FW1] Routing Question

Title: RE: [FW1] Routing Question

        Jeff:

If I understand this correctly, it sounds like you need to set up static routes on both the router and the FW-1.  If    you are using Cisco router, configure this statement: "ip route 64.157.160.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.10.1".  On the

FW-1, presumably you are using Solaris 2.x, at the superuser level, add this statement:
        "route add -net 64.157.160.0 192.168.10.1"

There are a few notes I want to bring up.  First, I presume that your public IP address previously indicated has a

24-bit mask.  Second, if your router is connected to the Internet, then I do not think you want to use a non-routable   Internet IP address range (192.168.0.0) on the DMZ zone.

        Hope this help.

Subject: [FW1] Routing Question

I have a Class C address block.  I need to be able to
route the traffic and I am having a hard time here.

Router - 64.157.160.254

FW1 -  64.157.160.1  (public)

FW1 - 192.168.10.1 (DMZ)

I need to route all traffic to all other 64.157.160.* IPs through
the DMZ interface.

Can anyone assist me on this?

Jeff
