You will also want a copy of your user database, fwauth.NDB which is
usually in the database dirctory.

Being slightly obsessive/compulsive, I actually backup the entire
firewall-1 directory structure.
One other note: do a "cpstop" before the copy to prevent open files.
"cpstart" after to restart the FW.

Thanks for your help. I forgot to mention that I am running on the Windows
platform. Does the same apply? Just copy the conf dir? Thanks..

Hello all,
Does anyone know what files are needed to be backed up in order to save
the FW-1 rulebase and network objects? I am trying to move my firewall
to a new machine, but don't want to recreate all the rules and objects
by hand. Not to mention it would be good for backup! Thanks..
