I am trying to set-up a VPN link between my firewall and a Linksys BEFVP41 EtherFast Cable/DSL VPN Router. The documentation shows that it supports IKE encryption, however after configuring the two sides of the VPN, I am still unable to complete the VPN. The message I am receiving on the Firewall is: reason: client encryption: could not agree on common methods. Has anyone successfully set-up a VPN between Checkpoint an the Linksys router that may be able to help me here. I currently have a VPN to another Checkpoint Firewall, and 3 VPN connections to Sonicwall Firewalls using Manual IPSEC, but cannot seem to get this one working.
