TCP/53 for zone transfers and long name queries. UDP/53 for short name queries (most traffic). Chris -----Original Message----- From: Jeroen Oud To: [email protected] Sent: 2/21/02 9:25 AM Subject: [FW-1] Zone transfer via DMZ I have the following problem. (FW-1 4.0) We just set up a DMZ in which a direct connection to another company is made. I can connect to some IP-numbers in their subnet, but I need to be able to do a zone transfer from their DNS server. From the FW I can do a nslookup to their server, but from my LAN I cannot. What am I missing here? Their DNS server is only for Internal use.
