Hi,
the button for "internal" and "external" is only important if it's
a Firewall, a Management-Module, or any other object which you want to
manage with your Management-Module.
Yes, it's right, in earlier versions you could define the location for
any object - but this was only for "statistical reasons".
Log-entries from Daemon are from the module working at the kernel of
the Firewall.
