Thank you.that setenv is over.iam a newbie to both checkpoint and linux.that is the problem.also i dont have the documentation CD.it is in my head office.
Regarding permission denied,i logged in as root only.i wanted to configure rule base.so i opened that rulebase.fws file.i think i have to configure rule base in that file only right ? if not please let me know.i asked my senior,he told to make a windows machine as GUI client and configure,but the problem is the client place where iam going doent have any windows machine and they wont allow also.so i request you to tell me how to open a rule base file and how to install that file in firewall.it would be a great help for me.
