Hi, We're still having the "FW-1: out of stacks" problem and the box is rebooting by itself. We've already executed the commands sent by Amin but all we get is: echo "fwstack_size ?" | adb fwmod.5.x.o fwstack_size: fwstack_size: 0 = unimp 0x0 echo "fwstackmem ?" | adb fwmod.5.x.o symbol not found Does anybody can tell us which values do we have to set these values to in the /etc/system? It's the first time it happens to us and the situation is quite critical...has anybody experienced this before? Thanks to you all, Maria -----Original Message----- From: Amin Tora [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, May 30, 2001 2:23 AM To: '[email protected]' Cc: 'checkpoint' Subject: RE: [FW1] Problems with FW memory >May 28 13:27:18 XXXX unix: panic[cpu18]/thread=40235e60: >May 28 13:27:18 XXXX unix: FW-1: out of stacks Run these commands to see what the current stack sizes are allocated to: echo "fwstackmem ?" | adb $FWDIR/modules/fwmod.5.x.o echo "fwstack_size ?" | adb $FWDIR/modules/fwmod.5.x.o ..then you need to edit the /etc/system file and set appropriate values for: fw:fwstackmem = 0xVAL fw:fwstack_size = 0xVAL Replace "VAL" with the new value. Remember that the units you are counting with are in bytes and the numbers are in the HEX number system. Check Point recommends to double the stack size and quadruple the stack memory. You may have increased one and not the other... ?
