Re: [FW1] Nokia ip440 running checkpoint



With the Nokia's, as they don't support Checkpoint HA, but more so VRRP /
monitored circuits, you can't get the Checkpoint HA license, so you have to
license each IP 440 individually (each having it's own SINGLE external
interface) and also obtain a management module license, by which time you
may as well have purchased the Enterprise pack.
Think of licensing in terms of licensing IP addresses.
As the Nokia's external interfaces both need different IP addresses, each
will need licenses, as opposed to Checkpoint's built in HA, which uses the
same IP address for both interfaces, so you just need a license for the HA
feature that lets you share IPs / MACs.
