[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [FW1] FW 4.1, Solaris 2.7, and Gigabit Ethernet Functionality?
I'm trying to get a new firewall 4.1 installation operational, under Solaris 2.7 and using Sun's gigabit ethernet (Version 3.0 driver) hardware. We have a requirement for multiple networks, and only have one SBUS slot available (running on an Ultra-1), so a quad-ethernet is no good. All patches are up to date (downloaded from Sun's site earlier this week). I'm wondering if anyone out there has gotten gigabit ethernet to work in this configuration (even with a single network). What happens on bootup is that I get the following error: FW-1: interface ge0 (ge0) is not found in table (80296910) Warning: This interface is not monitored by Firewall-1. FW-1: IP: FW-1 has a problem registering an interface configuration - command (80206910) blocked - .. and the system hangs hard at this point. I need to L1-A it to recover. I kind of expected the "... not monitored ... " message, but not the hung system. I'm not even trying to configure the multiple instances - i.e, hostname.ge0:1, hostname.ge0:2, just the initial instance - hostname.ge0. It boots fine as long as there's no hostname.ge* interfaces to configure. I'll be opening a problem with our vendor for follow-up, but just wanted to tap the wide experiences of the group too! -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amateur Radio - The Original "Wireless Network"! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- begin:vcard n:Zahrndt (KF9AU);Jim tel;fax:tel;work:x-mozilla-html:TRUE org:
</a/

adr:;;333 E.
