RE: [FW1] SR and Lucent Orinoco Wireless (RG-1000)

Update:

When the Orinoco RG-1000 is setup in pure bridging mode, SR works like a
champ. When in NAT mode, SR will prompt for authentication, but fails to
connect to exchange keys with the firewall. Great box, definite lack of
technical docs.

Regards,

--- Gavin

Subject:	[FW1] SR and Lucent Orinoco Wireless (RG-1000)

Anyone have a crack at getting SR to work with this animal (4.1 SP2, like SR
client)? As a Wi-Fi device, it's the excellent, and has built-in NAT.
However, there seems to be a lack of technical documentation on how NAT
works in this device, which I'm trying to insure is complaint with the SR
requirements when using NAT.

When using windump on the interface, I see no packets being sent to the base
unit. The Phoneboy site indicates that only regular NIC's and Dial-up
adapters work with SR. Are there any known instances of wireless NIC's
working?

Regards,

--- Gavin
