[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [FW-1] How do I get e-mail alerts
Sorry if this is a duplicate message but I got a reply e-mail saying my first attempt was rejected and to try to resend the message. This sentence is a second sentence to meet the two new sentences as directed by the e-mail from CP so please ignore. Below is my actual issue. I'm having problems getting system alerts sent via e-mail. In Smart View Status the global settings are set to send e-mail alerts then in the global properties in Smart Dashboard under the alert commands I have to edit the e-mail alert script but the information that I'm finding is not very clear. I run the firewall (AI) on a Nokia IP380 have mail routing set up to the ip address of my exchange server with my e-mail address in the remote user. I'm running the management console on Win 2000. The information I have found says to change the script to %FWDIR%\bin\sendmail -s Alert -t smtp-server-ip -f from-email-addr -t to-email-addr . The only problem is that sendmail isn't in the bin directory and I cant find it on the CP cd-rom to put it there.
