Ramakrishnan,
I've been using fw1 on different boxes since 1996 (solaris, aix, hpux,
nt4, w2k, ipso, linux, secureplatform). I've been using intel boxes
since 1997 and with the correct hardware they are rock solid. Most of
these intel boxes have been IBM / Compaq / HP servers with hardware raid
and double PSU's.

Lars

Hi,

We had been using Solaris /Sun boxes for firewall and they have been
proven to be reliable and solid. But considering the cost/performance
benifits, Intel boxes seems to be way ahead. I would like to have your
opinion on the reliability of Checkpoint Firewall on Intel box, from
those who have deployed them already.

Advance Thanks,
Ramakrishnan
