Have not had problems since the last time we set up a box with NT 4 (had
some unusual problems with installing multiple NICs). Even with NT, the
boxes, once everything was installed, worked fine. We have been using
Windows 2000 on Dell boxes (old PCs, actually, which violates all the
rules...) for a couple of years now with exactly zero problems.

Hi,

We had been using Solaris /Sun boxes for firewall and they have been
proven to be reliable and solid. But considering the cost/performance
benifits, Intel boxes seems to be way ahead. I would like to have your
opinion on the reliability of Checkpoint Firewall on Intel box, from
those who have deployed them already.

Advance Thanks,
Ramakrishnan
