[FW-1] Upgrading from Checkpoint 4.1 SP2 to NG FP3

I currently have Checkpoint 4.1 SP2 running on an NT4.0 SP6 server. We
have purchased NG FP3 and a NEW Windows 2000 server. I've read the
upgrade guides and as far as I can tell, they recommend:

1- Build a duplicate NT4 server with Checkpoint 4.1
2- Upgrade Checkpoint 4.1 to SP5. (NG needs SP5 in order to upgrade)
3- Run the Upgrade verifier tool and make any adjustments
4- Upgrade to NG FP3

OK, Now I have Checkpoint NG FP3 running on NT4. If I upgrade the OS
to Windows 2000, how will this effect Checkpoint???

I know the whitepapers don't mention this, but is it possible
for me build a separate W2k server running Checkpoint NG FP3 and
somehow export the 4.1 SP2 rules and configs to the new NG server??
(can't be that easy!) Any suggections??

Thanks,
---Tony---
