For security reasons I recommend you don't connect yr mailserver using smtp service; the SMTP server expose his version or realease. Use a resource or run CheckPoint Policy Editor or SmartDashboard: select from menu Policy option / Global Properties / Firewall-1 / Security Server and type yr company's name or any other information. If you remove this resource you can have a connection directly to your mail server instead (if routing, nat etc is correct).
