Are you allowing ICMP and RPC port 135?  If you are dropping these then
there's no need to use SmartDefense to block them.

I got the 30-day demo, which said it updated smartdefense for blaster/nachi,
etc., but I don't see anything about them in smartdefense after updating.  I
do see some new Microsoft Networks options, but nothing for the latest
viruses that have been plaguing most of us.

You need to buy the license to gain access to the Smart Defense updates.

Does anyone know if it is possible to update SMART Defense manually. We
have
it running but it was last updated when installed and we dont have the auto
update license. Is the only way to update to buy the auto update license or
can the updates be applied manually also?
