Re: [FW-1] IP330 and log management

A Stand alone installation as you want to have in the IP330 can be very
loaded for the appliance, but instead you can use an external check
point log server just for stock all the Check Point logs files.

The IP330 has its own buil in hard disk drive, but this is used for all,
I mean : IPSO system files, Check Point logs files, etc...

In the other hand, you must be sure that the mainteinance of this
installation will be done properly, periodically switching log files, an
so by the way.

Greets.

Asunto: [FW-1] IP330 and log management

Hi all,

We're looking for a new firewall, and the ip330 seems to be the ideal
hardware for our need.

But a question remains unresponsed, that is: has the ip330 a built-in
hard-drive in order to stock the checkpoint log's or do we have to get
an other server running a syslog server. We want to put both management
and module software on the same ip330.

Thanks in helping

Regards,

Manuel COELHO
