I had many troubles on this using FP3 copying from Win to Unix and vice versa. I could open the rulebase with policy-editor after copying files but not installing the rulebase. On a FW1 certification exam I was told that this procedere is only painless if you copy these files to the same platform, e.g. Win to Win, Unix to Unix etc..... So use a test system and no production system and good luck. Chris -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Vijay [mailto:[email protected]] Gesendet: Donnerstag, 28. U can o it in no time . just copy following files from your old management server to the new management server in the conf directory. object_5_0.C *.w *.pf *.fws and any other files which you have changed like fwopsec.conf or fwauth.NDB Bounce the management server once u have copied these files.
