Re: [FW-1] remote cluster XL?

Put the mgmt station in the internal network side, not the sync network..
the sync network
if just 2 cluster members, should be a crossover cable between FW modules.

Subject: [FW-1] remote cluster XL?

Hi!

I'm trying to change the cluster software I use in a remote cluster.
Currently I use FullCluster, but I want to try Cluster XL. Last night I
made a test, but it didn't work. Policy installation had no error, but
status page showed syncronization problems. My configuration is quite
similar to another local cluster.
I've seen in firewall guide that the installation of Cluster XL needs to
have the managment console in the syncronization network, actually a
crossover link between both firewalls. The problem is that I'm facing a
'remote' cluster, so I cannot insert the managment station, here in my
office, in the remote network.

so, is there a way to achive it? or am I wrong and it's not a must to
include the managment console in the syncronization network?

I use CP NG FP3 HF2, and, I hope, High Availability New Mode due to
multicast mac issues..

Regards...
