[FW-1] NG AI - Non-default directory [Was Security Desktop]

I've found that you can have a few problems if you install the CheckPoint
Software at a non-default directory.

In my case, for a backup purpose, I wanted that all the software was
installed at the drive d:.

If I installed it directly on the drive d: the previously described problem
occured. There may be others...

The workaround was to map the default-directory C:\WINNT\FW1\NG to D:\NG and
proceed with the default instalation.

You are warned!

I've did a fresh install.
I've checked and the Policy Server is installed and activated.

I've installed the software on a non-default directory. Can this be a
problem?

Is there a procedure to install the software on a non-default directory?

How did you do the install? Was this an upgrade, or fresh? If fresh, did
you install "SmartCenter Server" only, or VPN-1/FW-1 as well. I noticed
that when I selected both for an install, the SecureClient Policy server was
deselected.

Hello everybody,

I've installed NG AI yesterday and it went fine, untill I've installed the
Package.

When installing the Security Desktop policy, it fails reporting the
following error: "Failed to read rules from file C:\...\Package_name.S!
Desktop policies will not be installed on policy server"

The Desktop Security policy is Any Any Allow.

The file exists and it looks OK.

The Enforcement Module is a Nokia 530 with IPSO 3.7 and the Management is a
W2KServer.

I've got all the necessary licenses.

The configuration objects and rules were manually recreated from the
previous installation (FP2).

Any ideas?
