I can't say I really notice the difference between FP3 and AI, except
that AI seems to have most of the (VPN) kinks worked out without having
to apply HF1 or HF2 to FP3. It's probably a good thing that you haven't
heard much discussion of AI.

I'm not sure what's so new about "Application Intelligence" given that
all it is is HTTP security servers, SMTP security servers, FTP security
servers, DNS inspection and MS Network inspection (and VoIP) most of
which has been around for a long time. I guess the difference is you
can force inspection for all connections on these protocols without
having to use pre-defined security servers, big deal. Oh and you
randomize IP IDs now, under "Fingerprint Scrambling," which Sonicwalls
have had for a couple years.

It works well for us too.

I have not seen a lot of comments on NG AI since its release. Is this
because it is stable or because people are not willing to move to it
yet? I am wanting to upgrade to NG and FP3 looks fairly stable at this
point, but why go through the hassle, if AI is out now? What are other
4.1 folks planning?
