Hello, I personally would say that if you want or need a platform with somewhat more whistles than SecurePlatform a plain Linux from scratch is always your best bet. --Joerg http://www.firewalls-illustriert.de -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Lars Troen [mailto:[email protected]] Gesendet: Mittwoch, 26. As this box will be on a remote location I would really like to have some hardware monitoring agents that could notify me when something is wrong. Compaq has management agents that handles this. I downloaded the software from compaq for Redhat 7.2, but it required ucd-snmp. Ok.. I downloaded ucd-snmp-4.2.3-1.7.2.3cmaX.2.i386.rpm and the corresponding util rpm file. But it required perl.. so I downloaded perl-5.6.0-17.i386.rpm. It required libdb.so.3.. so I installed compat-glibc-6.2-2.1.3.2.i386.rpm.. finally I could start installing these.. now, only the compaq agents were left: [Expert@egw-0132183]# rpm -Uvh cpqhealth-2.3.0-20.Redhat7_2.i386.rpm Preparing... ########################################### [100%] This RPM is only supported on Red Hat Linux 7.2 systems. error: execution of %pre scriptlet from cpqhealth-2.3.0-20 failed, exit status 1 error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping cpqhealth-2.3.0-20 Anyone come through this? Am I better of installing plain redhat linux?
