I had the same behaviour, but with a complete new rulebase. I got it once to install and after a manual cp stop/start it crashed and rebooted. Since then it was not possible to reinitialize the rulebase again, it always crashes and than reboots. I can not say in detail if cpstat is responsible, I assumed it was a problem with older licenses, because I got some license errors when doing cp stop/start..... I have two compaq dual NICs in the system. I've transferred a 4.1 rule set and I have upgraded the old configuration using the upgrade script. Everything seemed to work just fine. I even managed to login to the rule base once. I rebooted the server and it loaded the default policy. Now if I run "fw ctl uninstall", SecurePlatform crashes and reboots immediately. If I start it in debug mode, kdb shows me that the crash occurs within cpstat.
