I believe there are few RAID solutions supported for NG FP3. We had the same issue on a different hardware platform. Here is a partial list CP sent us..... The gist of the SCSI drivers that are supported are: aacraid.o Adaptec SCSI RAID controllers, e.g. Dell PowerEdge aic7 Adaptec SCSI megaraid.o AMI (LSI Logic);MegaRAID Elite 1600 (qlogic ISP12160A controller chip) cpqarray.o Compaq / HP Smart Array 4 controllers ( 3200, 3100ES, 221, 4200, 4250ES, 431). Pentium III based Proliant DL360's - LSI Logic / Symbios controller chip ips.o IBM ServeRAID 4LX cciss.o Compaq / HP Smart Array 5 controllers (5300, 5i, 532, 5312). Xeon based Proliant's, such as DL380 G3. -----Original Message----- From: Jason Costomiris [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, February 19, 2003 3:18 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FW-1] RAID on SecurePlatform On Tuesday, February 18, 2003, at 02:12 PM, Gary Ellis wrote: > I'm building a SecurePlatform (FP3 Edn2) setup on a Compaq ML310 (ATA > Version). Perversely? Interesting choice of words... > Neither does there seem to be an obvious way of enabling the software > RAID built into Linux, even from "expert" mode. I installed splat last week on a box that I used as a management console. It was a Dell poweredge 2450, which uses a RAID controller. The box had 2 drives installed as a RAID-1. Worked without a hitch. Want a good IDE RAID solution? Look at 3Ware. Works like a champ in my file server. -- Jason Costomiris <>< E: jcostom {at} jasons {dot} org / W: http://www.jasons.org/ Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur. ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] ================================================= This e-mail is confidential.
