Red is generally bad, some kind of system or hardware fault.  Are you sure
it is the link light you are looking at and not one of the other indicator
lights? Can you try the same cable in other ports on the Nokia box?  and/or
try connecting the same Nokia port to different devices and see what
happens.  Also, swap the cable with a known working one.  See if the error
follows the cable, the port, the device, etc.
