If you had a dedicated VLAN due to the amount of sync traffic on high
volume firewalls (State Sync VLAN) and the latency between the two
buildings was not high I am sure that you could do this.

The biggest problem is with the latency and the information on
hand when a failure occurs; latency in the sync time would have the
greatest effect on VPN connections not so much HTTP traffic.

Subject: [FW-1] state Sync through a VLAN over gigabit ethernet fibre

Hello

I would like to ask if it is possible to do state Synchronization
between 2 firewalls
in 2 different buildings over a VLAN through a gigabit ethernet
fibre.
In the documentation I have read that they must be physically
connected with a dedicated Mbit connection

both buildings have independent internet connectivity but if one
firewall dies ... traffic will be routed to the other firewall

Kind regards

Josh
