The rulebase on a enforcement module is not stored as a .W or a .fws file. Most of the files of interest will be in $VARDIR/$FWDIR/database (objects.C, etc.) and in $VARDIR/$FWDIR/state/local/FW1. But again, you won't find a .W file or anything you can use in a management GUI. But if you preserve those directories, you should be able to archive a given ruleset for use on the same enforcement module. -- Crist J.
