Re: [FW-1] anyone dhcp relay success?

Hi,

ok, it worked.. Just one strange behaviour,,,
The reply from fw/relay server to the client, afther succesful relay/fw
to dhcp sever negotiation, was dropped by the same rule ( Any * Any *
bootp/dhcp-rq/dhcp-rp * Allow )
Solution I've used: change from 'before last' to 'first' the 'accept
outgoing....' propertie

thanks

Replace the dhcp services in your policy by bootp. This should do the
trick.

Hi!

I'm facing the issue of using a W2k dhcp server from a W2k client in
separate networks. Both are separated by a Cp NG in a Solaris box. I've
configured it to be a dhcp relay server.. But dhcp requests are beeing
dropped by the firewall, even with an explict rule Src Any Dst
255.2555.255.255 Srv dhcp-request.

so, how can I allow dhcp request through the firewall? may the firewall
also the dhcp relay?...

Any suggestion? TIA
