Duda,
First,
did you ever harden your firewall? you'll get memory leak if you ever hardened
your firewall "too tight".
Second, think about SP2 and all pre SP3 hot fix. Don't install SP3 since
it's very buggy.
Thrid,
go to firewall logs to see what you can find just before the
Crash.
Four,
how many CPUs you have on the firewall box?
I ever
set up a NG FP3 firewall on a windows 2000 server+SP2+ Pre SP3 hot fixes. It has
been working perfect since two month ago.
Good
Luck,
William
I have CP FW1 FP3
running on a Dell Optiplex using Windows 2k Server SP3. This system is both
enforcement and management. Every so often (more often lately) the system
crash's to a black screen. The black screen is not a gui black screen but more
like your holding the reset switch on the cpu down. Nothing appears in the
Event Viewer, no dump files...a reboot simply fix's this. How can I diagnose
this issue?
The system meets
CP's min requirements and doesn't see much traffic. Its about 40 rules. This
system is definitely not over powered.
