[FW-1] FP3 and FTP

Hi,

We've Upgraded from FP2 to FP3 on the Nokia firewall early this month.

Wonder if there are any problems with FTP from a Wintel client (translated
to the FW external interface) to a Digital Unix server
through the FW. FTP session seem to hang.

The problem was intermittent.

When it happens, subsequent PUT commands from the client seems to be
waiting forever.

From the trace obtained, the FW did a NAT as indicated (by the rules)
and ininitiated a connection to the server on different source port
than the one communicated via the FTP PORT command (from the FW to the
server). Thus, the server responded by an RST back to the FW.

But this was not relayed back to the client - a probable perpetual wait
by the client???

Default settings was used from the upgrade to FP3, SmartDefence was on
with TCP Verifier.

Is this problem ever seen before? Other than fallback to FP2, is there
any workaround?

Thanks for any help.
