I only answer your second question. I don't know the question one.
As I know, if you forgot the secret key, there is no way to recover that by
**** syntax.
The only one method is that ask the remote site to view the secret key.

can I use my backup files form NG FP2 firewall to configure new FP3?
Do I need some script to merge these conf files?
My second problem is:
I have working IKE VPN using preshared secret for autentification.
Is there any way how to recover these passwords from **** syntax???
I forgot secret and other site is not cooperative.
