Thank you very much for the extensive answer. It is saved for future
references.

However, the replication now works without problems. We got help with
this by somebody with Ace server experience and it is now fixed. As I
understood the problem was with incorrect/missing definitions in the
\system32\drivers\etc\services file (NT 4 platform) on both Ace
servers. I think it was about the "securidprop" definitions.
