Re: [FW-1] Resolved - Websense - nothing but problems

Title: Message
It seems that my problems were with the HTTP Security server on the firewall, not directly with Websense. I made the following edits to my objects_5_0.C file:

:http_avoid_keep_alive (true)
:http_disable_content_enc (true)
:http_disable_content_type (true)
:http_allow_content_disposition (true)
:http_enable_uri_queries (false)
:http_max_header_length 2500

I also previously changed my http_buffer_size to 32768, but I don't know if that had anything to do with the solution.

I made these changes 3 days ago and have not seen "Failed to connect to the WWW server" or "Access denied" messages since, which is obviously a great improvement...

Subject: [FW-1] Websense - nothing but problems

We are running NG FP2 on a Nokia 530 IPSO 3.5 fcs8. Websense is Websense Enterprise for Firewall-1 v4.3.0 on Windows 2000 SP2.

Problems include "FW-1 at fwname: Access denied" messages, "FW-1 at fwname: Failed to connect to the WWW server" messages, and some sites that we cannot access unless http 1.1 is disabled in IE settings. The problems are so bad that I have to disable my Websense rule within 5 minutes of turning it on.

I have set my http_buffer_size to 32768 and set http_enable_uri_queries to false. Is there anything else I can do to the http security server to help this?
