To report when you are port-scanned you need an IDS... try Check POint?s
new
SmartDefense... it is really very good!!.
To send an email, you shuld configure it first: Go to global properties,
Logs and Alerts, and type the scrypt to be run to send the email on your
mail server... is not EZ, i?ve never tryed it but theory says is that way.

Hi.. Dear Gurus,
Q1,I am looking for some method to send alert to myself when my firewall
was
port-scan by someone.  Could anyone help me on this??  Any document
available?
Q2,I had implemented alert feature when anymore tried to telnet to my
firewall but I can only see when I open the Check Point System status
program.  Once I close, it gone.  How to make the alert to be sent via
e-mail without activate the program?
