Hello All.
I was trying to resolve an issue of "who used a
server" tonight and found something odd in my logs. It appears that the fw
log was confusing USER names of people who came from the same IP address.
Many of our employees sit behind Linksys and other NAT'ing devices when at home.
Even though these devices all have the same network being NAT'd SecuRemote and
VPN1 didn't seem to mind.
Tonight I noticed that USER Bob and Joe had the
same IP address (192.168.0.2) and while I expected BOB to be using server A the
log said it was JOE. I asked Joe and he said it was not him. I'm
highly confident that JOE is telling the truth. I looked at a few other
servers and noticed similar discrepancies. In fact when I was trying to
PCAnywhere to a server the log showed a different user that had the same IP
address as me.
Has anyone seen this before? Is this a known
issue? Is there if a fix?
