Three quick things: (1) You can get CP 4.1 to talk to a Symantec Enterprise FW 6.5 or higher, don't know about the FW appliance but it would probably work fine. (2) I wouldn't recommend a SonicWall *anything* to *anybody*. If the price point is the issue, go with NetScreen instead; comparable in price, better featureset, better support, better IPSec interoperability. (3) How it all works depends on what you put in place at the other side, so other than reading up on RFCs and example VPN configurations (Google searches!!!) your best guide is going to be what happens when you try to put it in. Best of luck. -----Original Message----- From: Ed Valasek [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, August 28, 2002 8:34 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW-1] VPN-1 Help Hi All, I am running FW-1 4.1 SP6 on NT and need to connect two offices together using VPN (IPSEC). The other office is going to use a Symantec FW Appliance or a SOHO3 Box. Has anyone done this and/or could anyone direct me to a good place with some info to help me out?
