You don't HAVE to reinstall the FW-1 module, as an Enterprise Management
Console will manage another box running the Enterprise Management
Console and a firewall module.
However, this is a bit messy so I would recommend that once your Windows
management console is built, you rebuild the Solaris box, take the
opportunity to patch it with the latest software, then install the
correct level of Check Point on it.

Hello Gurus,
I have installed FW-1 NG FP2 in a Solaris8 box.
In my installation, Enterprise Primary Management and Enforcement Module
was selected as installation type. Now I hope to separate the management
server
from the FW-1 module in Solaris8 and install it in a Windows box.
Do I have to reinstall FW-1 module in Solaris8 by selecting Enforcement
Module
as Installation Type?
