Hi. Im having a bit of a problem with a Networker server that does backups through a FW1 firewall. Im sure who's to blame, but for whatever reason, I need to set the TCP timeout in the firewall to a value that higher than the time it takes for the Networker server to make backups of individual clients. For example, say a backup of host foobar takes 50 minutes, I'd have to set the TCP timeout to ~3500 seconds, or the backup server will think the attempt failed and starts a new one, resulting in several backups of the same client being taken, using up n times the space the backup would normally use. This becomes a problem when backing up clients with large amounts of data, such as a fileserver. When Im wondering is if there's anyone else using Legato NW and FW1 4.1 who has managed to solve this in any better way than simply setting the TCP timeout to very high values? Currently, it's set to 36000 seconds, and in the long run this will keep increasing as more stuff is stored on the server in question, until we upgrade to FW1 NG. While that project is underway, I would prefer not to wait until it's done, if there's a better option out there. Any feedback would be appreciated.
