It seems Checkpoint doesn't care about the version of Red Hat, but rather about the Kernel only - must be 2.2.x only in V4.1. So, with 7.3 you could do your O/S install with the default kernel, and before you install Checkpoint you will have to replace the kernel with a 2.2.x kernel (I have tried 2.2.20 and 2.2.21 which work fine). If you try to install with 2.4.18-3 Checkpoint will get upset and not work. Hope this helps..
