The original console blew up shortly after install, so I had to rebuild it (no backup of course). and reinstall. Fortunately the rule base was small, so I could rebuild it on the new console. However, now I want to change the policy a bit, and the policy install on the PDS fails with the message :- Policy installation failed for module PDS Reason : Load on module failed - Failed to load security policy Policy installation completed with errors Also, on rebooting the PDS, I get the message Fetching policy from localhost succeeded. Failed to fetch policy from masters in masters file in the messages file. It would appear as though the policy on the PDS is still the original one, and not the new one from the rebuilt management console. 2 questions 1) Can I retrieve the (original) policy from the PDS and get the management console to use the database from the PDS as its policy? 2) If not, how can I get the newly rebuilt management console to install its new policy on the PDS.
