I would recommend using a radius server and have the radius server talk to the windows 2000 domain controller.

I have had very good luck with this setup. With this settup for VPN, we are able to see the username and ip addresses in the logs.

Ken.

Question:

Can Check Point FW-1 connect to a Windows 2000 Domain Controller and
authenticate connections based on username?

We would like to see usernames show up in the firewall logs instead of, or
in addition to, the user's IP address.

Any thoughts?

Chris
