How about: create an smtp resource with a match property for the 'From' field of *@yourdomain.com. Then use the rules: Any -> Mail Server -> SMTP Resource -> drop Any -> Mail Server -> SMTP -> Accept As long as the resource rule comes before the general rule, it will drop the mails that match and all the others will pass through on the second rule. -----Original Message----- From: Christopher Collins [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, June 19, 2002 1:32 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FW-1] SMTP Question Does anyone have any insight or suggestions on this? -----Original Message----- From: Christopher Collins [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: June 17, 2002 4:24 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW-1] SMTP Question How would I set up a rule in FW-1 4.1 so that if a message comes into the FW from an external IP with any of my domain names as the sender, I drop or reject the message? I have no external users, so this should never occur. I think this may help with my spam problem. Also, does anyone know the implications of dropping or rejecting those messages? Will it retry for 3 days and then send an undeliverable message? If my user is the sender, will the undeliverable also bounce off my FW? I think it may cause a mail loop somewhere if the sender and receiver are the same address. Any insight or suggestions welcome. ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] ================================================= ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] ================================================= ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] =================================================
