Re: [FW-1] FW-1-MAILINGLIST Digest - 12 Jun 2002 to 13 Jun 2002 (#2002-167)

In versions BEFORE NG FP2, you could type anything in the username and
password field and then type "*local" in the Management server field. This
will put you in demo mode. In FP2, they've changed it so that it's a check
box called "demo mode".

Subject: [FW-1] starting the gui in "demo" mode

Seems to that there used to be a way to start the admin gui without pointing to an actual management console so that you could explore the interface. Admittedly, the grey cells claiming this to be true are getting rather old (knowledge they claim to have learned at the v3 upgrade class). Does anyone one else remember this that would be willing to share the details? Bill
