I am an outspoken critic of CheckPoint on a number of issues, but it is
only because I like the product a lot. I do, however, think the issues
addressed by the security servers are often best addressed by dedicated
products.

My only wish is that CheckPoint would spend less time on things like the
security servers and more time on creating sensible upgrade procedures and
on firewall performance.

I have seen too many customers use the security servers in ways they
simply were not meant to be used. As a result I wind up with a ton of
support calls that just should not arise.
