LinkProofs simply hide your traffic behind two different external IP Addresses and dynamically NAT your traffic depending on which link is active or less loaded. They can also dynamically rewrite DNS traffic to cause requests to go to whichever link is active. Unfortunately none of this helps if you have VPN traffic. VPN traffic has to know the IP address of the tunnel endpoints. With the LinkProofs in the way this becomes a lot harder. You can still get it to work for Site to Site VPN's by purchasing a box for each location, but it will not help with SR traffic. -Don ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] =================================================
